Job Description

The data analyst will assist strategists and account teams in analyzing data, building dashboards and data visualizations, presenting results to internal teams and clients, and other applicable analytical work.  The candidate will be able to mine actionable insights and opportunities for growth and program optimization. The individual must be highly goal-oriented, able to meet deadlines and must have good written and oral communications and interpersonal skills to interface with other team members and with clients. Hands-on experience with analytical marketing tools is required.

Essential Duties:

  • Identify trends, patterns, and relationships in marketing data to provide answers to the effectiveness of various advertising channels and tactics
  • Create, customize and maintain performance dashboards
  • Custom implementation of Google Analytics tracking code and Google Tag Manager
  • Quality control of all data and tracking implementation
  • Utilize heatmap tracking to provide data-driven recommendations
  • Collect and organize data for ease of analyzing marketing performance across multiple channels
  • Create graphics (i.e. diagrams, charts, tables) to communicate ideas/concepts/findings
  • Assist in preparing detailed analytics strategy plans and proposals
  • Provide ongoing ad-hoc internal and client reporting services
  • Collaborate with clients and other team members to define metrics and KPIs
  • Assist in best practice documentation and project management of all analytics work
  • Assist in developing presentations for clients

 

Education, Experience, and Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree and more than three years of related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to prepare clear and concise client‐ready documents
  • Extensive demonstrated working knowledge of analytics/reporting tools (Webtrends, Google Analytics) and dashboard implementation (Tableau, Klipfolio, Grow)
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Advanced experience desired with Excel (common functions, charts & graphs, filters, pivot tables)
  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification preferred
  • Passion for digital marketing, eagerness to learn in a constantly-changing space, and a natural curiosity
  • Fluency with Excel and/or other data visualization tools such as Klipfolio, Tableau or Grow
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive meaningful actions from large data sets
  • Ability to work with/manipulate various reporting APIs
  • Ability to comprehend information visually, numerically and verbally
  • Experience working with and analyzing data to create actionable recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently follow through on all assignments, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and work well both independently and collaboratively
  • Proven ability to meet milestones and deadlines for projects
  • Ability to work with a diverse group: strategists, creative teams, account managers, and subject matter experts
  • Experience with social media monitoring tools (SimplyMeasured/Sprout)
  • Some agency or relevant experience a plus
