Lifeguard (Part Time)
The Athletics & Recreation department seeks a qualified lifeguard for a part-time position responsible for the supervision of the indoor pool during open recreational swimming and team/club/high school practices and swimming meets.
Lifeguards must maintain current certifications in CPR, Lifeguarding and First Aid. Work shifts are Monday-Friday, 11:30-1:30 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m.; Saturday/Sunday 1:00-4:00 p.m.; with additional hours as needed. There are additional opportunities for hours during swim meets held May 17-19, May 31-June 2, July 5-7 and July 18-21.
Lifeguards must be at least 18 years of age.

The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
Because this position works with minors (non F&M students under the age of 18) mandatory training must be completed prior to working with minors. The online training course must be completed at least once every two years by faculty, staff and Franklin & Marshall students who interact with minors.
Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, Pennsylvania ACT 153 background clearances, and verification of credentials. The College will coordinate these verifications.
