Marketing & Public Relations Specialist

Job Description

Purpose:

Define, manage, and enhance the dealership image and brand in the market.  Lead efforts to better understand, attract, and retain customers.  Develop and manage marketing tactics to promote the dealership’s products and services through targeted efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and implementation of a marketing plan in conjunction with the leadership team
  • Leads the development of a brand strategy/mission/objectives including the development, implementation and enhancement of the Dealer brand. Coordinates all Dealer related promotional events and reports the effectiveness (including cost/benefit and return on investment) of sales events
  • Leads and ensures the development, communication, and assessment of marketing tactics (e.g. advertising, promotions, incentives, events, etc.)
  • Acts as a liaison between the dealership and manufacturers’ marketing personnel and leverages manufacturing marketing resources
  • Represents the Dealership for all media and advertising relationships and supports or creates graphic designs
  • Maintains, updates, and utilizes company social media accounts to promote company image, events, and products
  • Plans and coordinates logistics, communications, and activities for sales events, customer experience events, meetings, or focus groups including the documentation of best practices
  • Strategizes, organizes and implements Dealer display and promotional materials (i.e. banners, trinkets, pamphlets, brand apparel etc.)
  • Monitors market trends and utilizes customer insight technologies, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) processes and applications
  • Defines customer segments and determines how to pursue segments through targeted solutions and services
    • Extracts JD AIM/CRM information on current and prospective customers and provides to sales representatives and other defined dealership personnel
  • Manages, leads, and develops a strategic direction for Deere and overall Dealership customer experience
  • Defines and manages advertising budget, including Co-Op budgets for all represented product lines
  • Demonstrates a genuine concern for company as a whole by promoting teamwork and maintain positive attitude
  • Exhibits outstanding communication skills and cooperates with other departments and locations within company

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 3+ years marketing and/or graphic design experience
  • Familiar with statistical analytic applications and market research practices preferred
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting internal and external marketing reports
  • Event organization experience
  • Proven ability to be creative and innovative
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, lead and inspire others
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or business and/or equivalent experience
