Operations Manager – Lancaster
VisionCorps, a values driven organization, is looking for a full time Operations Manager in our Lancaster operations. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing.
The individual applying for this position must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Must be someone who has integrity, determination and resourcefulness. Five or more years in manufacturing operations managing a team or department. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO 9001. Project management experience. Knowledge of DLA/government supply chain processes preferred
This position is responsible for the management of day to day manufacturing operations of the Lancaster plant overseeing all product lines and ensuring the ongoing maintenance of existing and new equipment used in the manufacturing process. Serve as Contract Administrator for government contracting activities evaluating and conducting review of contracts and orders when necessary. The person holding this position will achieve results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Reviews, updates and approves timesheets in payroll system for employees including all forms of time off.
- Ability to use hands and fingers in the use of computer keyboard, completing forms, use of office equipment
- Ability to sit for periods of the time.
- Must be able to work in the production area.
- Ability to travel independently and safely.
- Ability to travel regularly and between different floors to inspect manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. when required.
