Job Description

As a production designer, you are part of the Creative Resource Team working closely with various creative teams to produce skillfully executed production files. You have a strong foundation in print design, pre-press production standards, typography, template production, digital ad creation and understand branding guidelines. You are comfortable being tasked with production/execution of creative assets partnering with various groups within the agency to execute client requests.  You work with a sense of urgency, sweat the details and understand the importance of deadlines and communication.

Essential Duties

  • Work closely with our Creative Groups and traffic managers, while also coordinating with other production designers, illustrators, and proofer when necessary to produce high-quality work including brochures, ads, signs, direct mail, graphics
  • Understand all details and deliverables expectations of a task and/or project, asking timely questions to help streamline the production of those deliverables
  • Deliver on-time, high-quality, and error-free work
  • Assist in implementing further iterations of related project materials across all client accounts as necessary
  • Keep up with current applications upgrades, understanding their implications and how they will affect production files
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative culture

 

Education, Experience, and Capabilities  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of production experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud while focusing on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Expert knowledge of file creation and deliverables including master pages, color libraries, character and paragraph styling, layered files, file formats, file packaging, PDF creation, digital ad manipulation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Word
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS to update existing digital files welcomed, but not required
